Frequently asked questions

  • Do we become or are we born aerial or terrestrial?

Natural preferences are identifiable from birth. Then they are gradually tinted by the environment. We like to say that if we had to distribute 20 points, 10 points would be reserved for the mystery, 5 points for our preferences and 5 points for the environment.

  • Are there as many terrestrials as aerials in the population?

Yes. Our current statistical data report as much ground motor skills as aerial motor skills among people from Europe. It is possible that there is a slight gender differentiation with slightly more terrestrial women. These data seem to vary according to ethnicity.

  • Can we be both aerial and terrestrial?

We operate on a continuum, some people are therefore little differentiated between the two poles. It also happens that some people perform an aerial gesture and a terrestrial gesture. For example, between the classification carried out following the specific tests and the observation of the stride, we see 2 out of 10 people change groups. When we talk about aerial and aerial, it is therefore necessary to contextualize the definition.

  • Do preferences direct us towards certain sports rather than others to reach the top level?

Yes and no. When it comes to motor preferences, both terrestrial and aerial motor skills are found at the highest level in all sports. This observation alone means that there is no strict selection when it comes to the ways of moving. It actually prevents! Intense athletics will make you 'more aerial than yourself' and swimming 'more terrestrial than yourself'. When it comes to energy preferences it's a whole other story. To reach the top level in sports involving speed or endurance, one must be born with appropriate energy skills. The energy selects the high level without emotion or regret. Which does not prevent anyone from reaching their own high level.

  • Should we focus on strengths or weaknesses?

The answer is eminently cultural. Traditionally the Latin people favor the work of weaknesses while the Saxons like to value the strengths. Within the framework of preferences, if the context allows it (qualities/discipline relationship), we like to develop strengths first (signify motor identity) then integrate weaknesses. That being said, if you are a born sprinter and have decided to complete a marathon, whatever your philosophy of training and life, you will have to develop your endurance.
